Homestay in Florida
English is studied while doing the homestay of Mr./Ms. (US) Michael, and it plays and it seems to attach naturally in the Disney world, NASA, and Florida. Start in December (The best season of Florida is March from December). Receiving reservations. Mail from CONTACT US, please.
- Visit and study in Florida. Students will stay at my house in beautiful Florida. This is a unique study and vacation opportunity. This is just not a vacation. Students will come here to study English while they experience the thrills of Florida. Each day will be an adventure as we explore Florida and study English. There are many activities to do and several places to visit for sightseeing. This is the land of beaches and water. From 1513 (when Florida was discovered) to the present, Florida has been known as a mysterious and exotic locale...waiting for you to explore.
- Florida was the 27th state admitted to the US. Currently, Florida ranks 4th in size and number one in tourism. First, travel to Orlando, Florida. Orlando is located in the middle of Florida. I will pick you up at the airport. From there, we're off to the Space Coast. My guests will stay at my private home on the 'Space Coast' in eastern Flroida. Hey! NASA is close by. Orlando isn't far either. Of course, you know what's in Orlando? That's right! It's Disney World, let's don't forget Harry Potter is nearby at Universal Studios. The Space Coast also has great beaches. Animals? Bring your camera and have it ready.
- (What will I do?) Our mornings will be spent in study. The student/guest will take lessons from me or study using a computer that I will provide. About 3 to 4 hours each morning will be spent studying. Afterwards, I will ask the student to make a verbal presentation about a topic they have learned. Next is lunch. Then, we are off to explore Florida. This will be the students time to decide where to go. Afternoon activities are almost unlimited in Florida. Everyday, we will exprience something new and different. After dinner, there will be community activities we can do together or we will just relax and talk around the pool.
- As the culmination of your visit, I will ask the student to select a destination. For every one week of stay the student is entitled to one visit from the list of parks below.
Here's a short list of places to go: Disneyworld, Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center(NASA) a full list will be offered at a later date. Guests can choose one location to visit per week of stay.
*Guests are responsilble for their own entrance fees to these parks.
- How long can I stay? The minimum is 1 week, my recommendation is 10-14 days, up to 3 months possible. The cost of the 1st week is $825 for the quest. This includes shuttle service, lodging and meals. Students staying more than 1 week will be charged the daily rate of $80. A deposit will be required. Couples will be charged $1025 for the first week and $75 a day after.
- When can I come? At this time, September thru June is available.
- Can I bring a friend? Yes, this vacation is for couples or solo guests.
- What do I need to know? This is a custom vacation. Guests will stay with me, I have the right of refusal of any guests. Guests will work out the details of their 'Private Florida' with me before arriving. English proficientcy is not required for this vacation. I will tell you want to bring and what not to bring.
- How to I schedule 'My Private Florida' vacation? First, consult with the staff at MySkypeEnglish. Then, you and I will talk together to plan your vacation.
- Special features: My guests can eat Japanese food or American at my house. Outdoor activities: fishing, boating, wildlife photography and more.
